| Suicidal Fish Submitted by a friend of J. Daoust My friend once had a fish that liked jumping out of the tank. Almost regularly when she came home she would find the fish on the floor. Eventually she had to seal the tank completely on the top (it would even bump it's head against the cardboard she placed over the tank, pushing the cardboard out of the way, then jump right out of the tank!). One day, prior to going on vacation, she forgot to re-cover the tank. When she came home, rigor mortis had already come and gone. A sad day to be sure, but then, it would seem the fish was suicidal (assuming it had any idea that "out of water" = "unable to breathe" for a fish). |
