Missions is one of the busiest times of the year for the church.  An amazing time for us and for those who are participating, short-time teams have the chance to serve and be a blessing to the church in Tacna, and they are also blessed to be a part of His work.  It is a special time that many of the members on the team confirm their
Feeding Program is something that we have been blessed to have since 2004.  We are able to give breakfast to over 150 children in Ciudad Nueva and Nueva Jerusalen one to two times a week.  The final plan is to be able to serve lunch to 100 kids in each location at a minimal price to be able to help the families eat
Please keep these churches and ministries in your prayers constantly, that we would preach clearly and build up national leaders.

Ciudad Nueva is the second of three current church plants in Tacna.  The project has been in progress since 2001, but it has only had a location of its own since 2003.  Tito, along with his wife and three children,  arrived in Tacna in 2002 immediately after the church plant.  Starting with a small room and about 15 members, the building continues to improve as does the members knowledge and faith in God.  The church in Ciudad Nueva now has a childrens, adults, and youth ministry fully running along with other community ministries.

Local Central is the mother church here in Tacna.  The church began when the church in Chile was driving up to Ecuador to begin a church.  After a few years of sending short-term teams up, many contacts were made here in Tacna and soon after in 1998 a family of Chilean missionaries moved here.  The church began in a house and in 1999 it moved into the current building.  The church now has fully running adult, youth, and children's activities and has since planted two more churches in Tacna.
Nueva Jerusalen is the third church plant here in Tacna.  In 2003 the church began to have reunions with the adults, and currently has a weekly Bible study with adults and youth, and on Saturday mornings after a feeding program, the children have Bible studies as well.  God has provided this church with the above building through hard-work and donations from North American churches.  We hope to have this church fully running with a national pastor very soon.
Culto.com is the youth group on the first floor of the Local Central.  It was the first of its kind here in Tacna.  In 2003 a group of 13 Chileans and 4 North Americans came for 10 months to dedicate their time completely to the preparation of Culto.  Now the youth group is completely run by nationals and 2 Chileans..  There are weekly small groups/prayer night and a weekly service just for youth.

calling to long-term missions, continued short-term missionary, and/or supporter of missions.  Many who come are looking for answers and God blesses them while they are being a blessing.
Construction is a time that we can not normally do because of a lack of monies, but due to the financial blessing raised up by short-term missions teams we are allowed to do work that we cannot normally do.  Most of the times teams bless families in need with a housing module to better there extremely poor living conditions.
Other ministries that we have, or do in missions, range from hair cutting to food blessings.  From time to time we bring the children together from the neighborhoods and we wash their hair and give them haircuts.  Sometimes when we do house visits we are able to bring a bag of food basics such as noodles, rice, oil, etc.  These are ministries that the short-term missions teams participate in during there time here blessing Tacna, promoting the church of God, and most importantly preaching God's name through dramas, testimonies, and tangible forms of His love.
well but not have to pay much.  It will serve as another social work to help the community and give another tangible form of God's love.  With prayer and financial support this work will be able to be  established.
Presentations are done in plazas, schools, and different locations throughout Tacna to preach the gospel in many ways.  Puppets, dramas, testimonies, and more are among the things used to meet the people where they are and show them a simple message of love and acceptance.  This is the churches main form of evangelizing that we use during missions and throughout the year.  Along with house visits, we are able to keep contact with those who make decisions and work with them in their decision to help them mature in their faith.  The presentations also serve to bring joy to the communities, and sometimes just something new, but always it is a blessing for us and for the community to be able to bring messages of hope and love to those who don't have it, those who need it the most.
