The Department of Children Youth & Families (DCYF) is running amuck in our state. They have been taking children at risk which is an over-used term to say that children are property of the state to do with as they please. This has led to the needless death, not mention suffering, of children without anyone taking responsibility or suffering the consequences of their actions. The state is immune for any responsibility for the death of children. This madness must stop NOW! Because we are a small state (Rhode Island) we are often ignored by the rest of the nation. The loss of even one child is too great. This is a distress call for help from the rest of the nation (world?). Why am I putting up this home page? Because I am, along with others, a victim of a barbaric law that was passed in 1833 in New York City & this law is the current model for child abuse laws in all fifty states.
THE LAW DOES NOT WORK. THIS LAW ABUSES CHILDREN!! THIS LAW DOES NOT PROTECT CHILDREN. THIS LAW ONLY CREATES MAYHEM AND DEATH. THIS LAW ONLY DESTROYS. THIS LAW HAS NO OTHER PURPOSE BUT TO TAKE CHILDREN INTO A SYSTEM THAT DOES NOT CARE. THIS LAW ONLY PROTECTS THE CHILD WELFARE (SIC) WORKERS, NEVER CHILDREN & DEFINITELY NOT THE PRESERVATION OF THE FAMILY. THIS LAW HAS NO OTHER PURPOSE. ONCE YOU HAVE BEEN ACCUSED OF IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO PROVE YOUR INNOCENCE BECAUSE IN THE CHILD WELFARE SYSTEM YOU ARE GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT. THE BILL OF RIGHTS IS SUSPENDED. THEY HAVE THE RIGHT, ON A ANONYMOUS TIP, TO BREAK YOUR DOOR DOWN, CHARGE INTO YOUR HOME, AT ANY TIME OF DAY OR NIGHT, SEIZE YOUR CHILDREN, STRIP SEARCH THEM (READ RAPE) IN FRONT OF EVERYONE (MOSTLY STRANGERS AND ARMED POLICE), TAKE THOSE KIDS OUT OF YOUR HOUSE, SCREAMING & NAKED, WITHOUT EVEN TO HAVE TO SAY A WORD TO YOU. IF YOU PROTEST OR QUESTION THIS WHILE IT HAPPENS YOU ARE SUBJECT TO IMMEDIATE ARREST. YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE HEARD. YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO A LAWYER. YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW THE WHEREABOUTS OF YOUR CHILDREN. ONLY AFTER YOUR CHILDREN ARE LONG GONE ARE SOME OF YOUR RIGHTS RESTORED.
MY STORY: I was living in Pawtucket R.I. working as a tractor trailer driver coast to coast & I was able to provide a decent standard of living. My former spouse who also worked ensured that we needed or wanted for nothing. However there was a fly in the ointment & that was the fact that my ex spouse suffered from severe PMS which would last for two or three weeks. I did not know this before our son was born but I came to the conclusion that (so did a former social worker) that my exs illness was physiological & NOT psychological. the proof of the pudding came at childbirth when the placenta came out at the same time our son did who was two months premature. Also after the birth of our son my ex started to have longer & more violent episodes which led to a fateful day of Friday, June 11, 1993 that I will never forget as long as I live.
I was at home, with the baby, when my ex went to the hospital after work. I was unaware that my ex was at the hospital until I got the phone call from the hospital that my ex was there & could I come? I said that I would be there shortly. When I arrived at the hospital, with my son, they said they could do nothing for my ex; but however noticing the state my ex was in, they offered respite care for my son. It should be noted here that two months prior to this we were made aware of the fact that our son had a developmental delay & we were taking the proper steps to take care of this at a school for special needs children that has national recognition. We left our son at the hospital & we NEVER signed any papers that allowed any testing or treatment of any kind. Our son was there for SAFEKEEPING ONLY - NOTHING ELSE.
Some doctor(s) (read QUACK) took it upon themselves to test my child & to put a 72 hour hold on our son. We visited with our son all that weekend & no one at the hospital said anything to us about any testing or holds or anything else for that matter (talk about a warrantless search & seizure!) On the following Monday I went to the hospital (this place violated the first rule of health care: DO NO HARM) to pick up my son & I was told I could not have him back. (!)Shock. I never did anything wrong. My son was probably the only one year old in Pawtucket with a color TV , video game & telephone in his room. These people who did not know us from a hole in a wall thought we were neglecting our son. NO SUCH THING.
The hospital took it upon themselves to call DCYF without so much as questioning how we were taking care of our son. When the investigator (read inquisitor) from DCYF showed up she came with an attitude that we were (we couldnt say anything right) bad parents & said that she was going to court to steal our son. She did not care to listen to anything I had to say and was nothing but rude to me and my ex. In a few days we went to family court, where parents have no say, & DCYF stole our child. They are abusive in the very fact that they will use armed force to have their way. Our son wound up stuck in a steel cage for two months at that God forsaken hospital (Pawtucket Memorial) before DCYF said it was OK for our son to go to the maternal grandparents at a horse farm (got lucky for placement). We wound up with a lunatic for a case worker.
This case worker was nuts from the get-go. The case worker from hell. This worker had nothing good to say or do. I found her to be rude & offensive at best. She had no desire to listen to me whatsoever & resorted to name calling & dirty tricks. She also took complete offense that I did not drink or take drugs & that we lived in the best neighborhood in the city. She also took offense to the fact that I was well educated & I was well aware of the world around me. She also thought I was playing the blame game as to my exs illness (I only sought the best for her) & thought that because I knew my ex had a physiological illness that I must be nuts. This caseworker did nothing but antagonize me & put a wedge between me & my ex to point that she convinced my ex I was the one who was nuts & should take out a restraining order against me. Needless to say it was the end of the beginning of a nightmare that goes on to this day. I sought refuge in a house where drinking & drugs are prohibited (I dont do either) but as time went on I got little solace there only because of my occupation, the hours I keep & my absolute hatred for DCYF. I tried to keep working driving the big trucks for a while longer (DCYFs insanity & 80,000 lbs. big trucks dont mix) but I had to give it up because of the ordeal I am going through. I got depressed & felt hopeless. I have tried every means at my disposal to fight these lunatics but have been met with very little support because a lot of social service agencies are on the DCYF dole & many parents are afraid to speak out against DCYF for fear of intimidation or permanent loss of their children. I have never recovered from this loss & to add insult to injury it has been learned that my son has autism. Children are born with autism & parents NEVER at fault for any aspect of their parenting. I approached DCYF about six weeks ago, with my minister (Reverand Thomas Alhburn* - since deceased), to get DCYF to drop & expunge the record & they said no way! My minister upon leaving the building with me from this meeting turned to me & said, Kafta to which I replied, yes. It just goes to show how sick the child savers really are & not even sane enough to admit a mistake. Because I have had to give up driving for a living this ordeal has also left me homeless, fighting not only for my son but also the helpless lives of other children.
There is a better way to handle child welfare. The United States has a lot to learn from the rest of the world. The child savers say that they are students of Jean Piaget (the child development scientist). But Piaget was a student of Sigmund Freud, & both Sigmund & Anna Freud said that there can NEVER be any good from the taking of children from the home. The trauma is just too great. The damage to children is enormous & there is not enough room here to tell it all.
EPILOGUE -- A couple of weeks ago I crossed paths with my ex & she stated that the doctor had her on several different drugs & that she could not function very well at all & and remains unemployed. This makes one painfully aware of the fact that the medical & social work fields are full of professional elitism that cost other people their livelihoods or their lives. These professions should remind themselves that information can come from unexpected sources. Jane Goodall is a fine example of this as she was a secretary, with a high school education, for Dr. Leaky, when she learned much about chimpanzee social interaction that could be applied to humans as well. Ms. Goodall was able to prove her work & it became accepted scientific fact long before she was awarded any degree from any college. Professional snobbery just robs us all of the quest to better society as a whole & that sources of information should always be given their just due rather than be dismissed out of hand.
Also I would like to point out the fact that the ideas I have are not original but come from the input of others who have worked long & hard to make the world a better place to live in. I know that I am in good company when others like Freud, Jung, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Dr. Stephanie Degraff Bender, Dr. Katherina Dalton, Richard Wexler & others are saying the same thing I have said. I know one thing for certain, that the tragedy I have gone though need of never happened if it was not for the stubbornness of a few individuals, who assumed positions of power, but stopped learning about the world around them & that prior experience does not always apply to the next situation. New vistas are always opening & only those people with the vision, foresight, & compassion will be able to survive in the brave new world that is coming. The current thoughts of what, who, & how we are going to be changed drastically in the next ten years. Are you going to ready for this? Are you going to be able to keep an open mind? The future is here & it going to be a lot different than you think. The rumbling of drastic change is on the horizon and will overwhelm you if you are not ready.
So, read a lot, keep an eye on your local PBS affiliate, the educational channels on cable, the science page of the newspaper; the trumpeters of the future are upon us. Here is some strongly recommended reading to prepare for that future: Once a Month by Dr. Katherina Dalton, a former severe PMS suffer herself, -- this will open your eyes to new insights on domestic & public violence, molecular biology, unexplained child deaths & hormonal research & how hormones severely effect our behavior -- last report Dr. Dalton is still looking for an American medical publisher -- this person is brilliant. ** Wounded Innocents by Richard Wexler -- I think Richard, a reporter, stuck his neck out & went against the popular (yellow?) press to expose the massive fraud committed against our children - our nation has a totally deplorable record when it comes to child welfare, due to the harsh fact of that 1833 law I wrote about earlier is the basis for our current law & led to the wholesale slaughter of children - our children are not safe in the hands in the hands of the state(s); that is perfectly clear in light of the fact that thousands of children were snatched, by the child savers, from eastern cities, stuck in boxcars with no food or water - etc., to be sold & worked to death on the farms & ranches of the west - little comfort there as similar events are still going on as you read this.
I am NOT looking for money - JUST MY SON BACK - I DO NOT DEAL WITH MURDERS & KIDNAPPERS - THE NEXT CHILD WE SAVE FROM THE CHILD SAVERS MAY BE YOURS!

(2/5/03) Hackers and bugs everywhere!! Someone intentinaly destroyed this webpage a while back ago. I have a few ideas who did it (the intitals O.W. COME TO MIND!) and why ! If I or others find out, there will be heck to pay. To the others to have been hurt by a system run amuck I'm glad to be back online! :-) Hopefully I will be able to be more in contact with you all but I still don't have a computer at home and have been unemployed for most of the last year and half (illness & 9/11 were no help). I will try also to reset a chat room & BBS the next chance I get and cleanup some more of this w'page.
