NBA Comparisons:

Optimistic Outlook: Ricky Davis
Pessimistic Outlook: Michael Jordan’s athleticism meets Chris Dudley’s skills

Strengths – Superhuman athleticism and leaping ability. By far the most athletic player in College basketball. A former track and field star who dominated the long jump. He cleared 7 feet in the high jump and 24 feet in the long jump. In the Mcdonald’s High School dunk contest, he dunked two handed from the free throw line. He can also dunk through the legs from the foul line. Has the ability to win the NBA Slam Dunk Contest right now. Incredibly quick first step that he can uses to blow past defenders.

Weaknesses – The definition of raw talent. Lacks basic basketball fundamentals such as dribbling and shooting. His jump shot and ball handling skills are on par with Junior High basketball players. Has an absolutely horrific outside shot, he shot 23% on 3 pointers last year. However, he shows nice potential to improve his shooting because of his good form and good free shooting. Needs to get much stronger. Has very limited defensive skills, but has the potential to become a good defender because of his world-class athletic ability.

James White is truly a gifted athlete with off the charts leaping ability. He has a good chance of being drafted solely because of his amazing athleticism and potential. However, at the moment he is too raw, unskilled, and unprepared to make an impact in the NBA.
