Troop 907 is open to all boys interested in Scouting. We meet on Monday nights, at 7:30, in the scout building we built at 1507 Glendale Boulevard. No appointment is necessary. We are sponsored by the First Christian Church, which provides generous and enthusiastic support for our organization.
In 2002, in addition to our weekly meetings, Troop 907 attended the Klondike Derby on January 12 and had our Troop Dinner on February 2;
February also brought a fun-filled expedition to Wolf Park. We will have a Scouting for Food collection on March 9, followed by a popcorn sale; we will have campouts at our exclusive campsite on March 16. On April 27 we go fishing at a pond where we have helped to restore the natural environment. ;Everyone always enjoys our Scout-O-Rama participation, which will be May 18; the highlight of any year is our trip to summer camp, which begins on June 16; Also in June, some of us will be leaving for a trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. Our summer closes with a hot dog roast in August; we start our fall season with a fun day at our tent at the Valparaiso Popcorn Festival. on September 7, followed by our planning session for the 2002-03 season, We will have Troop elections on September 9; and we will have our next Family Night on September 16. A troop 907 Boy Scout is a busy young man, come join us!
