2001 News & Notes...
The Podunk Pirates traded, 2001 Pirate MVP Elvis Grbac and Terrell Owens, to the CFFL Raiders for Daunte Culpepper.  There were also draft picks traded in the deal.  The Pirate's managment are confident that the addition of Culpepper and Faulk will help them rise from the CFFL cellar. 
Culpepper defied logic last year as he became one of the most successful first-year starting QBs we have ever seen. At a  position where most newcomers struggle, Culpepper took advantage of the super talent surrounding him, a simple playbook and good coaching. With Robert Smith gone, there might be more pressure on him to carry the offense, and there will also be the spectre of matching his 2000 success. Culpepper will still be a top Fantasy QB this year, and could be forced to run the ball more because the Vikings don't have a reliable starting RB.
