How We Started
It all started when three young talented men were born in 1988. Even though they didn't know that they were talented, they could feel their destiny, to be in the greatest band ever. Each of the members grew up in there own way of life, living it to the fullest extent, until....... GRADE 7! Matt and Alec have meet up at Westgate. With Matt already talented on the drums, he was left to rot, with nobody to be helping him. A year later , Alec was talking to Matt about there favourite bands and how much they love them, that they came up with the idea that it would be cool to get together and play their favourite songs. right then, lighting struck and showed the light, the greatest band was born. With Matt's wicked fast hands and smooth rhythm and Alec's massive outburst of mad plucking and quick fingers made them an unstoppable team, but they were missing three things; a guitarist, a singer, and a name. Grade 9 was an exciting year for the twosome, because they found the guitarist they needed, Jacob. He had just started and was willing to put all he had for the band so we could make it to the top, so they were that much closer to the full band. Looking for the singer wasn't all that difficult, for the singer offered to be in, so we took in the new band member, Stefan. The rebel from river heights was the singer, they were awesome! with Matt, Alec, Jacob, and Stefan, they were that much close to our destiny, but without no name group got them thinking. Then it came to them, in one sudden blow up. One day, Matt was practicing on the drums and went soo mad he sprained his wrist. The group in question couldn't practice for weeks, until bam! WRYST.....

Now the band had many versions of spelling Wryst. They had rist, wrist, ryst, and then we thought of Wryst, because it sounds cool. Now they had a full band, a kicken name, and tons of songs to learn, they had it all. Their first band practice they learned how to play Spieluhr, by Rammstein. It took them a while to learn but they managed to learn and master the song. It became their hit single, by another band. Even though their singer didn't want to go to that practice because he wanted to go to the Folk Festival instead, they kept him in. Now the next band practice, he showed up and they finally made a list of songs that they learned and mastered. That special band practice was more than a bunch of teenagers playing instruments in a basement, it was magic. After all the holes that Alec has put in the ceiling (which is about 5), all the harassing Stefan has done to Matt, all the strings that Jacob went through, this all happened in a simple 3 hour session. Well after all the "magic" has been settled, grade 10 started. Stefan had moved to a different school and left the three team band to dry, but that didn't stop Wryst to going to the top, it just put them on hold. after talking about a replacement, Alec and Matt decided to handle all the singing until something came by.

After all this camotion of who's singing kinda got lost and Wryst was looking for a single lead singer, they were in a rut. They couldn't go on into another practice without wondering what would happen if they didn't get a new singer soon. They were asking around and found some extras that didn't really help like guitarists, kerboardist (which actually came in hand), and some other bassist, but no singers, till it happened. Matt thought to call up on his good friend Evan, the one man that could change Wryst history. Well, after a couple of chats, Evan decided and agreed to join Wryst. When they were asking around for a singer, they found another guy, actually a girl, that could help them get to the top faster, Lindsay, Matt's cousin. The band thought that the female vocalist could spicin' up the band, and she could play keyboard too. The band was finally after months and months of searching, settled down and was ready to make songs and please their fans. The self proclaimed greatest band in the world were 100% sure that the next big thing, the next triple platinum album, the world renounced project of the future, will, was, and forever be Wryst, the world's second greatest band.
