GRAND PRIX ROUND-UP
Sean Paddy Paul took the first title of the season by winning the Grand Prix in Comforable fashion with an easy win over rival Tony Nowell at BNS Arena.
Nowell never got into the match and with a very bad start and with Sean Paddy Paul in top form he ever really had a chance in this final. PP was very confident going into the final with an easy win over Johnny Duggs and by beating Celt teammate Jay Minio 39-16 in the semi while Nowell had beaten Florie Gee and Davie Kay Toni to reach the Final. But was no match for Sean Paddy Paul who took victory on a scoreline of 38-12.
Davie Kay Slams Twomey
Davie Kay slamed Tony Nowell's unsporting antics during their semi final clash in at the Grand Prix. Davie speaking to the WRRA Website said "you can't be doing that it's not on". Referring to the final 1/4 of their match when Davie was trailing Nowell and Davie Kay went to get the ball only when he returned a few seconds later he had to wait for Nowell to stop playing with his phone. Davie went on to say "I don't think I would have won but then again I could have scored a three pointed in that time and the whole game could have changed".
When asked will he be making an official complaint he replied "No I think not but I am very disappointed in Tony in the way he showed me very little respect".

The Future of the BNS Arena not clear
The future of the BNS Arena is not clear after news that the owners of the Area are to redevelop the area.
A spokperson for the WRRA told this Website "We don't know the full details of the planned development and if it will effect the playing area".

If this does happen it will leave the WRRA homeless and looking for a new home.
