He loves it there,
this tiger cat.
His orange fur blends well
with the clay color of the outdoor oven.
It's his home.

He may roam night-ly or day-ly
a'near or a'far,
but after war of cat-on-cat,
or mar-of-rat,
you'll find him slinking back
to catsecurity of oven home.

I see him peeking at me,
one eye winking,
just as though he's thinking,
"see what I'm about to do?",
giving me a cat-like clue
of what his next-night's escapade
will bring him to.

Such a feline folderol!
Such a cat who'll never call to you
his next idea, blinking at you
from his comfort-able chimenea.
