Desert Spring
March winds have arrived
Flying high above the land
I see a kite with a string
Attached to a boy's hand
The kite soars and dips
It's tail floating behind
It brings much happiness
And memories to mind
Soft puffy clouds near it
Float along without a care
Yellow and red flowers
Are blooming everywhere
Oh there goes a balloon
Escaped and quite free
I wonder from where it
Pulled loose in liberty
Birds working together
As they build their nests
Chirping merrily away
In all their happiness
I love springtime here
The desert flowers bloom
Sunshine and warm air
Chase away winter gloom
