Project Title: �Development of  a Stratus Web Client� at Application Resources, Inc, NY (From Jan 2003)

Project Profile:

        Development of a generic Web Client that would carry the �Requests� from VOS applications to external Web Servers residing on non-stratus platform.

Project Activities:

        Technical skills involved are VOS Inter-process communications (Such as queues, shared memory), C, PL/1, and TCP/IP Programming.

        Worked as a lead developer. Also handled implementation at client site and client communication.

Project Title: �Data Replication To Relational Database� at Application Resources, Inc, NY

 Project Profile:

        DBQ is a generic file access system that allows the user to manipulate VOS files via SQL commands. This project involved enabling DBQ to accept requests from a Web Browser/Java Front End. In this way VOS data files can be replicated to Relational Database which is on non-stratus platforms.

Project Activities:

        Technical skills involved were TCP/IP, C, PL1 and VOS Inter-process communication. Client-server architecture was used.

 Project Title: �Product Support, Enhancement and Release Testing� at Application Resources, INC, NY

Project Activities:

  • Working on enhancements to the products like DBQ and SGI. (DBQ is a generic SQL engine that allows the user to manipulate VOS files via SQL commands and generate reports. SGI is a TCP/IP gateway for VOS).
  • Requires technical skills like VOS-PL/1  & C, VOS features like queue I/O handling, inter-process communication, TCP/IP programming.
  • Also carrying out activities like release testing (Unit and System) of products and on-line product support.

 Project Title: �Revenue Assurance System�, TCS, Ahmedabad

Project Profile:

        The RAS was developed as an offshore project, for the FarEasTone (FET), a telecom company of Taiwan. The main aim of RAS is to reconcile between the network element and billing system to minimize the revenue loss.

        RAS has client server architecture, which is having database as ORACLE 8 on UNIX and front-end on VB 6.0.

Project Activities:

        Technical Skills used were Unix Shell Programming, C, VB 6.0, PL/SQL and ORACLE 8.0.

        Carried out Quality Assurance and Quality Management activities, Attended the CMM audit for Level 5 Assessment.

 Project Title: �Multi-Exchange Trading System�, TCS, Mumbai
Project Profile:

        The Multi-Exchange Trading System (MTS) was a product for providing a common platform for simultaneously trading at different stock exchanges. It included order routing system, clearing and settlement system and Internet trading platform.

        The MTS was having the UNIX as backend. The database was on Oracle 8.

Project Activities:

        Involved in the development of interface module of the system. The skills used for the work were UNIX shell programming, C, TCP/IP socket programming, ORACLE 8.0 and Pro* C.

        In addition to technical activities, also handled the task allocation, client communication and quality management activities.

 

 

June 1999-Feb 2000

 Project Title: �Implementation and Customization of TCAM Software� for Ahmedabad Stock Exchange, Ahmedabad, India
Project Profile:

        The online trading system at Ahmedabad Stock Exchange (ASE) was implemented by TCS on Stratus/VOS platform using TCAM system.

        At the host end system had VOS as the OS and PL/1 and C as the programming language. Database used was Appletree. Front-end was developed using VC++.

Project Activities:

        Main activities were to handle change-requests and problem requests, production support, testing, quality assurance requirement analysis and client interaction.

        Technical skills required for the above were languages like VOS PL/1 and C, Transaction Processing using Appletree, TCP/IP protocol and VOS.

        Carried out Quality Assurance and Quality Management activities. Attended the CMM audit for Level 4 Assessment.
