Our philosophy is "no homework" and no refreshments at meetings. We focus ONLY on writing.
We offer a "workshopping environment," meaning we take turns presenting different writing techniques to each other and practice those techniques at the meetings. Members then read and critique each other's work in an effort to hone the craft of writing and share ideas. This is NOT a book club, but a writing club for those interested in becoming published authors. This is NOT a group to tell you "what wonderful adjectives you use," as telling you only good things about your writing will not help you to improve.
Remember: if someone reacts strongly to your work, you're doing something right!
