Chris Jericho's Latest Online Commentary

Hello JerichoholicsFirst and foremost I'd like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and the happiest of holidays! Remember that Jesus is the true reason for this wonderful season. It's not the presents and possessions that count, it's the love and goodwill we show towards each other that matters the most!

I just returned from England and the Rebellion PPV. It was a great time and the UK fans were very liue and appreciative of our efforts. Believe me, that reaction means alot after you've been up 24 hours traveling before you have your match. I was over there a couple days early and was in the throes of true jetlag, but I still had fun. It was a blast checking out the Tower of London, Big Ben, the Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace...I think I even saw the Queen peeking out at Y2J from behind the palace curtains!

It was also quite an experience appearing on the Big Breakfast and Live and Kickin', which are a couple of British popular TV shows. Let me just say that the English sense of humour is very different from ours!

I also had the pleasure of meeting one of my all time idols in the wrestling world and definitely one of the true legends in the sport, Tommy Billington, The Dynamite Kid in Sheffield. I was a little nervous to meet him, but he was a tremendous guy, very funny and entertaining as well as a friendly and supportive. All of the boys were gathered around him in the Sheffield Arena, listening to his stories and tales. I'm looking forward to seeing him again, the next time we're in England!

I also got a chance to see my friend Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden and his son Dylan, who is a huge WWF fan. It's neat to see how life works. When I was young I was a huge fan of Adrian and now his son is a huge fan of Y2J!

Happy Anniversary to us, as we've been in business for three years as of December 4! Thanks to all of you who've checked out this page and your support, criticism and compliments have been the foundation that this site has been built on! I'd like to give a special thanks to Webmaster Lee, for his great work on the site. Without his time, effort and creativity, this site would not exist today!

Congrats to Lance Storm for having his website up for a year. Interesting that he brags about almost reaching 1 million hits in his first year, while it took this site 2 years to do it. Well, if I can be serious for a moment, keep in mind Runce, that when I opened my site over three years ago, the number of people with computers was a lot less than it is now. When this site opened in 1997, nobody had a website (with the exception of RVD who had one before I did). Now in the year 2000 every Tom, Dick and Gentleman Jimmy Jordan has one. You could even say say that www.chrisjericho.com was a pioneer in the field of wrestling websites! Anyways, congrats and kudos for your always entertaining commentaries.

I'd like to offer my condolences to the family of Nick McClaren, who was a very creative member of the WWF home video dept. I worked closely with him on my Break The Walls Down video and his talent will be missed. May God bless his soul!

Speaking of the video, it's sold over 45,000 copies in only two weeks! That's awesome and if you don't have one, definitely pick it up or ask for it for Christmas. It's different from all of the other WWF home vids and I know you'll dig it, as we really put a lot of time and effort into it!

Did you see the Fozzy documentary on MTV? It really turned out well and over 665,000 people checked it out. If you liked it, make sure to pick up the debut CD, FOZZY, at any record store, it rocks!!!! Also check out www.fozzyrock.com for more details and info.

I had the pleasure of playing a little street hockey on the roof of Madison Square Garden with the NHL's leading goal scorer, Theoren Fleury as well as Sandy McCarthy of the New York Rangers last Tuesday to promote this year's NHL Super Skate, which will be on Sunday, January 7, 2001 at MSG. I hope I get to participate again this year as last year was a blast! Fleury is a fellow Manitoban and a real genuine guy. Keep ripping it up bud!

The movie of the week was The Grinch. Jim Carrey was awesome and this flick is a future Christmas classic!

God bless all of you guys and I'll talk to ya later!!
