Hulk Hogan

In 2001, Hogan and Jimmy Hart got involved with the XWF, but the group didn't take off and has since folded. Hogan made a few apperances and fought Curt "Mr Perfect" Hennig. Before WWE's Royal Rumble event in January 2002, there were rumours that Hogan would return for one night only and compete in the rumble.

Then in February, Vince Mcmahon brought Hogan back to the WWE, along with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. They returned at No Way Out as the NWO, who had been brought in to "poison" the WWE. However, thanks to poor booking, they did anything but poison the company. Hogan's popularity was overwhelming, especially considering all the stick he got in WCW. At Wrestlemania, Hulk fought The Rock in a history-making, spectacle of a match, with the crowd firmly on the Hulkster's side and booing The Rock!

Hogan proved that he was a company player by allowing The Rock to pin him cleanly. The next night on Raw, Hulk Hogan was officially turned babyface and disbanded from the NWO. He fought and beat Triple H for the Undisputed Title at Backlash in a short, dissapointing match that contained needless interference from Undertaker and Jericho.

Hogan's short title reign came to an end at the hands of The Undertaker at Judgement Day in a bearable, but still pointless match. At King Of The Ring, Hogan put over Kurt Angle, tapping to the Ankle-Lock in a suprisingly clean finish. And after a short (and pointless) tag title reign with Edge, Hogan put over Brock Lesnar on Smackdown! by losing to him cleanly and taking a beating.

Hollywood Hulk Hogan isn't finished yet, and while he is getting on a bit, he can still work decent matches with the right opponents and can whip the crowd into a frenzy. He's a living legend.
