WCW UK TOUR 2000 Event Report Birmingham NEC, 10 March 2000

1 Norman Smiley beat David Flair with Daffney:

Smiley entered the ring first, wearing an Aston Villa shirt. Smiley began his "Big Wiggle" routine, but when David Flair arrived it was time for action. Norman chalked up another victory in a matter of minutes.

2 Booker T pinned Fit Finlay:

Booker and Finlay exchanged blows and went back and forth, but Booker eventually got the win, much to the delight of the fans.

3 Hacksaw Jim Duggan retained the TV Title against Brian Knobs in a Hardcore Match:

Hacksaw made his famous entrance, waving the American flag. Knobs had a full cart of weapons on his side, but even that wasn't enough to stop "ol' Hacksaw". After some typical hardcore action ( including some painful chair shots ), Hacksaw retained the title.

After the interval, The Nitro Girls hit the ring to entertain the crowd. Chae, Spice and Chameleon were joined by Norman Smiley and David Flair, who still hadn't settled their differences. A fight broke out again, and a jealous Daffney was forced to drag her boyfriend away from the dancers.

4 Bam Bam Bigelow defeated The Wall:

Bigelow, the crowd favourite, stunned The Wall with high flying moves from the top rope, and eventually got the duke.

5 Dustin Rhodes pinned Terry Funk:

Rhodes and Funk were at each other's throats from the very beginning, brawling outside the ring! When Funk had the match won, Dustin pulled a chain from his trousers and nailed "The Hardcore Legend" to get the win.

Following that match, Bret "The Hitman" Hart appeared and thanked the fans for their support when his younger brother Owen tragically died at the WWF's "Over The Edge" pay-per-view event. The Hitman received a standing ovation.

6 The Mamalukes retained the Tag Team Titles against The Harris Brothers:

The Harris' emerged to their NWO theme music, followed by The Mamalukes. Big Vito and Johnny The Bull were the crowd favourites, but that didn't stop The Harris Boys from using the title belt and nearly scoring a victory. However, thanks to a distraction from Miss Hancock, The Mamalukes retained the titles.

7 The Total Package defeated Vampiro via Submission:

The Package emerged first, along with Elizabeth and a steel chair! Before Vampiro made his entrance, Commissioner Kevin Nash arrived and removed Elizabeth and the chair from ringside! However, Liz soon re-emerged with a baseball bat, and distracted Vampiro in order for her man to clamp on The Torture Rack and get the win via submission.
