Leafs that sail
With the howling winds
Hail the falling snow
While barren branches
Cradle frost…
And birds with empty nests
In tempest, trees to wind shall sing
As in the pale moonlight they dance
And standing tall, as only trees can do
They die…

To love is to live in wonder
At times and things and folks
Bathed in the rays of setting sun
The grass so sweetly smiles
Woo to those who know not
That the meek need not inherit
For they need not…
Woo to those who know not
For long they’ll rule and suffer
And long they shall..
For nothing

On branches dead the crickets sing
To sleepy blades of grass
Swaying in the wind
While ants in streams
Of red and black
Roar in childish glee
In time, the branches hug the saw
And ride the morning breeze
As the sun
That paints the sea in red
Bathes the dawn in light
