Walnut Public Library
Trust Fund

The Walnut Library was fortunate to receive an endowment from Rollo Hensel when he died in the early 1960's.  He stipulated that money be set aside to build a new library which was erected in 1965.  The rest of the money was to go into a trust fund so the library could use the interest earned each year.  The principle can never be touched.  The library is currently receiving an estimated annual income of $14,000.00 from this fund that is worth around $240,000.00
