Here's some stuff for the geographically challenged.

Every
time North End play (or have another Championship Celebration) an
international gang of Internet-based supporters get together to share
the moment, listen to commentary wherever it can be found ...... and have
a laugh. Anyway.....after a lot of mucking about at the end of last year, the chatting gang finally went back to using Yahoo. Like everything else, Yahoo has changed a good deal since we first began these online meetings.
Update! Yahoo
bring out a new version of Messenger fairly often, so download the latest
version of "Messenger" here :-
Things can still be a little unreliable regarding live commentary via the official source for PNE games but we nearly always manage to sort something out in our chatroom, though. If there's commentary to be had from anywhere then we have it! You
should have the Yahoo Messenger on your system for the last-minute info
about where to find the gang and how to hear commentary.
Follow the instructions about setting up your ID and then add some Friends to your list. You'll find ID's in the Public Bar (see below). You can also leave a message in there if you need any help or information about joining the chat. Messenger can look rather formidable at first sight, but you certainly don't need to master it in order to join in our chat sessions. Just read on .....
1) Try opening your Messenger and having a look for online friends. You may be invited to an existing Conference or Chat right away if your ID is known and you are on peoples' Friends List. Once you're in a chat session, make a point of adding other folks" IDs to your Friends List ! 2) Sometimes (but not often) a Yahoo Chat Room will be used for the game. To join such a room, open your Messenger, right-click on a likely ID in your Friends list and then click "Join User in Chat". (If you already have this room in your Favourites then all you need to do is click on "Tools > Yahoo Chat > Favourite Rooms" and select the room name. 3)
If there's no-one about then we may be in the PNE Public Bar Chatroom.
It's here :-
Newcomers : This isn't rocket science - come and join us! If you're online with Messenger running about 20 mins before kick-off then you'll probably find someone to give any help you may need. Turning up at kick-off, though, and expecting personal attention when you haven't bothered to look at the thing beforehand is not recommended. See you online! '
