Democracy

Poem

7/6-02 Nykøbing. Outside...

html, 4.73 kb.; doc, 19 kb., 16 lines, 54 words.

First line stolen directly from an editorial in The International Herald Tribune (I was at the library) and then I spread out to my own preoccupations.  I immediately translated the poem into Danish (they have just ordered 10 new F-16 fighters here) and published it on Digte.dk, but no feedback (a strange request to remix an earlier poem popped up immediately, but I don't know if it has anything to do with publishing this piece)::::And it's funny how translating, then coming back to the original, the original changes, is rewritten with ideas coming from having to fit into this other language... But I'm also digging into the idea of truths, simply stated, and the more precise, it seems, the more 'poetic'... this is a direction I plan to explore...

Handwritten, white notebook.
