WHO ARE WE?
Womyn Everywhere (WE) is a collective of 10 women's groups in Michigan. The collective originated in May of 2001 to organize and promote social events that would bring together the diverse women's groups in the area. Together "WE hike, WE bike, WE drum, WE run, WE play volleyball, WE play games, WE socialize, WE party...."
The following groups make up the WE Collective: AutSocial, The Detroit Area Womyn's Network (DAWN), Drum Womyn, Klal Miriam, Lesbian A-Sisters, Lezhike, Outskirts, Silver Foxxes, Women Out and About (WOA)
and Women Together (WT).

WOMYN EVERYWHERE EVENTS
WE thought that a great way to bring women together would be an activity filled picnic. Our first megapicnics were held on July 14th and August 25th, 2001. On April 6th, 2002 WE held a Bash at Sugarbaker's to raise some money to help with the costs associated with the 2002 Megapicnic. Over 160 women packed themselves into Sugarbaker's for this event. In 2002, over 320 women came out on July 27th to enjoy the 2002 WE picnic, despite the on and off again rain. Our next Megapicnic will be held on July 12th, 2003 at the North Windfall Hill Site at Kensington Metropark. Given the positive feedback WE have received about our events and our numbers at previous picnics and the fundraiser, we anticipate we will have over 400 women in attendance.
