Ecuador compared to Cuba

Additional countries observed as well
Study by Jessica Fitts, MCLA '03
This website is to help identify and make known the many problems and struggles women in Latin American societies have to face.  It will be a comparative study between a traditional society (Ecuador) and a modern world society (Cuba).  Also a few key factors of other countries will be looked at and analyzed.
All research will attempt to lead to an understanding  of the past and present hardships and situations affecting women and women's roles in their societies.
The research will explore the effects of social class, cultural norms, technologies, education, and women's movements.  It will conclude with how each aforementioned aspect has developed and shaped the role of women in these societies.
All research materials will be cited on this website in the bibliography section.
