CHAPTER 1 - The moved

"Oh Debbie! I'll missed you so much!" Geri cried out, as she hugged her friend and roommate, for the pass 8 months. Debbie smiled, returned the hug with the same intensity, before she pulled back and gently wiped the tears flowing freely from Geri reddened eyes.

"Dear, I'll missed you too. But I'm only moving four blocks away and you can come and visit whenever you want." Debbie promised quickly, afraid that the tears will come again. Tears had always come easily to her friend. She cried when she was happy, when she was touched and even when she was angry. Debbie wondered for the hundred times where had all those tears came from? If she cry like Geri, she would probably suffered from dehydration!

"Yeah. I'm being," Sniff, sniff. "A little too," Sniff. "Dramatic ain't I?" She took over the piece of tissue passed to her by Debbie and blowed her nose with it. "I'm sorry, but I don't know why I cry so much!" Geri looks like she was on the verge of tears again.

"Hey! You are a good roommate and a good friend. Always there to talk too, always have a listening ear. Unlike someone else." Debbie said with a hint of smile in her voice as she moved the focus of her sight to another person standing at the doorway trying to keep the door from closing while her boyfriend Johnny, carried her languages out.

"I'm no good at sensitive talks." Alexandria deep alto voice float through the air. "I'll probably make you cry harder."

Debbie rolled her eyes and stick her tongue out at Alex before turning back to her previously emotional distressed friend who was now trying hard not to laugh out loud.

"Geri dear," Debbie said regretfully. "I'm so sorry, for leaving you to face that grouch alone." With that, Debbie looked down to the ground sorrowfully and let out a long, deep sigh.

This was too much for Geri. Unable to control herself any longer, she busted out laughing. She was laughing so hard that tears were beginning to form at the corner of her eyes that was tightly shut together. Debbie grinned happily at able to make her friend laugh before she go. Alex stared at the laughing Geri in amazement. How could people change their mood so fast within minutes? She could never understand it.

Geri, Debbie and Alex were three very different people. Debbie was the one that made sure that all three of them go for lectures on time especially Geri, who always had trouble waking up in the morning. She was also the reporter for their school magazine. A professional one indeed. She was the one with a good brain and lecturers praised her for being responsible. You can always count on Debbie. It was without a doubt that she would be an outstanding reporter when she graduate.

Alex was the type that would always stand out in a crowd. She was not Hollywood beautiful, but she had an certain air that surrounded her which made passerby turned their heads to give her a very long second look. The way she carried herself contributed largely to the air that attracted people to her. She walked with the gracefulness of a dancer that was touched with confidence. Her height and long silky raven hair made her almost perfect. But behold and bellow do not be deceived but her physical appearance. For she had a hideous temper. If you crossed her path, than you would be in big trouble. Her black belt in karate and three years training in judo made her a very dangerous woman to mess with.

Geri was the baby sister both Debbie and Alex never had. Debbie had an elder brother while Alex was a single child. Geri was the one that was responsible for keeping the apartment in a reasonable living condition. She was neat and could not stand the house to be in a mess. She was also the one that kept her roommates from dying from hunger for she was an excellence cook. She was petite in size and had long strawberry blond hair. Although she was small in size, she was well build. She kept her body in shape by swimming at least twice a week and by jogging every evening accompanied by Alex.

The difference was most probably the reason why that they had gotten so well along together. People too much alike will find it hard to live together. These three made up for each other short comings. So they were really doing fine. The friendly and comfortable environment helped Geri a lot in overcoming her feeling of loss and fear from being so far away from home for the first time in her life.

Home was Cairns. Quiet, peaceful and safe. The weather was perfect; the roads were wide and a bliss to walk on. People were nice and helpful and most importantly, her family and friends were there. She missed them terribly and for the first few weeks, she wrote home everyday. To her mother, her father, her two sisters, her only brother and to all her friends. She was sure that her letters flooded all the mailboxes in Cairns. However, as she slowly got used to the hectic life in Sidney and as university started, her letters reduced to twice a week and now after 8 months, once in two weeks. There was nothing much to write anyway. Her life was dull and boring, unlike her other two roommates. Well, Paul did spice up a life a little.

Debbie was always with Johnny and Alex, well was living a very interesting, busy alternate lifestyle. The fact that she was gay had posed a bit of a problem to Geri. She was shocked the first time she accidentally run into a rather breathless Alex necking outside their apartment with a tall blond. Geri had came from a religious family. The type that went to church every Sunday, and said prayer before every meal. Thus, she had a really hard time in coming to terms with Alex sexual preference. She had seriously considered moving out. But after a few talks with the very pursuing Debbie, Geri decided to stay. Plus the fact that she had grown fond of both her roommates helped a lot. However, she decided to keep this little fact from her family. It was not lying really. Just not telling all the facts. Not like it was really important or anything. Alex was nice and that was the important part.

"Honey." Johnny called from the doorway. "All pack. You want to go?" His face was flushed from all the carrying and from the climbing of the damn stairs. He panted slightly as he stood like a schoolboy outside the door, waiting for the answer.

"He's so cute!" Debbie smiled to herself as she took a long look at the handsome, boyish man standing there, waiting for her. She felt her heart glow with love for this man.

"Sure! Let's go!"

As the truck drove away, she poked her head out of the window and waved her friends goodbye.

Chapter 2 - The clean up

Alex and Geri climbed the stairs quietly to their apartment at the fourth floor. Upon reaching the second floor, Alex quickened her pace. As she bounced up the stairs effortlessly, she turned her head slightly back and shouted to Geri, "I'm going up to open the door first!" Before Geri had time to response, Alex had already speed up the stairs.

"Where had all the energy comes from? Can't have a quiet moment can't you." Geri wondered silently to herself as she climbed the last of the stairs. The door was ajar and she could hear the radio playing to the full volume. Geri walked into the room and felt the full impact of the music hitting her hard. Covering both her ears with her hands, she took a deep breath and shouted, "Do you have to switch it on so loud!"

Alex who had already stretched herself comfortably on the couch with her eyes shut together, hands behind her head, was oblivious to Geri shouting, which was no match for the music that was going full blast.

Geri shook her head in exasperation. Drastic measures were to be taken then. Stamping her feet loudly deliberately with every step she took, she walked steadily to the radio placed against the wall, in front of the couch Alex was resting on. Her finger located the On/OFF button easily and applying a slightly more pressure than necessary, she pressed against the button and an air of peacefulness filled the room momentary.

Alex eyes flew open in surprised as the silent filled the room. As she pushed her body into a sitting position, her head automatically turned to her side where the radio had been placed. Her eyes narrowed as she saw a smug looking Geri who had her head tilted up with both her arms waving above her head crying out, "Ah! Quiet and peace at long last!"

Ignoring Alex stare, Geri walked calmly around the couch towards the kitchen to fixed a little snack. Suddenly, two strong arms shot up, garbed her waist and pulled her over onto the couch. Before she know what had happened, she was laying on her back on the couch, staring up to an evil looking Alex. Both her shoulders were held tightly against the couch and Alex had further immobilizing her by saddling her thighs.

Swallowing hard, Geri stammered, "Tak…take it easy Alex. It was too loud?"

"Well, let's see if we can make you scream louder than that wouldn't we?" Alex purred. The evil smile never left her face. As she said her threat, Alex fingers moved swiftly down from shoulder to waist. Realizing what was going to happen, Geri began to struggle more vigorously while she voiced her protest weakly.

"Oh no…please? Not that? I…ha…ha…ha…Alex!" Her fruitless protest broke into fits of hysterical laughter as Alex began to ticker her mercilessly. "Alex! Ha…ha…I…give…ha…ha…ha…up!" She surrenders as she forced each word out in great difficulty through her laughter.

"Ok." Alex stopped her finger activities. "But, you must show me that you had really repented. Then maybe…I'll be nice and let you off." Alex smiles devilishly as two horns and one tail suddenly spout from her head and back rear.

Assessing her hopeless situation mentally than dejectedly, Geri sees that she had no choice but to give in, that was unless the ceiling lamp suddenly dislocated from the wire and drop on top of her evil roommate, knocking her unconscious, either that or give in.

"Well?" Alex repeated impatiently.

Assessing the lamp one more time, Geri sighed and admitted defend. "Whatever you say, oh, master of darkness. What can a helpless woman like me do but obey?" Her voice oozed with sarcasm.

That brought out a full rich laugh out of Alex. "Alright than. You can show it by cleaning up this mess by yourself while I recover for the night." One of her hand waved absently round the savaged room filled with paper plates, dozens of empty beer cans, unfinished pizzas slices all over the floor…leftovers of the farewell party last night.

Geri eyes opened wide in anger. "This is really sneaky, Alex," Then she felt the fingers on her waist starting to move again. "But of course, I will do it." She said quickly as she felt the fingers relaxed.

"That's the attitude kiddo." Alex chuckled happily at able to get away from the cleaning up she hated so much. She was on her way to jumping off Geri body when she was held captivated by green eyes that was half filled with moisture threatening to fall as tears any time. This seems to be happening more and more. The staring of certain anatomy parts of her roommate…especially at the chest region. Following her line of thoughts, her eyes stray unconsciously down and were meet with two beautifully shaped mounds.

"God! She is beautiful!" The unexpected thought triggered off all the warning bells in her head and there were all ringing so loudly that a headache was beginning to form. Suddenly, she became too aware of Geri submissive position under her and the well-formed body under her hands. She shook her head roughly to clear her thoughts and saw Geri looking strangely up at her.

"Are you alright Alex?" She asked anxiously. For a minute there Geri thought that Alex was going to passes out on her.

"Yeah…yeah. I'm find really." Alex assures her friend quickly before she jumped up suddenly and began to back away from the couch shakily. "I think I need the sleep more than I know." With that, she turned quickly and walked into her room shutting the door behind her. In the safety of her room, she let out a long breath she did not even knows that she had held. Leaning against the door, she tried to slow her pacing heartbeat. She bangs her head softly against the wooden door several times before she breaks out of the spell and walks towards her inviting bed.

She throws herself onto the bed and began rubbing her forehead with her thumb and index fingers. "Damn! What is wrong with me?" She cursed softly before she closed her eyes and let sleep took over.

In the next room, Geri was staring at the closed door leading to Alex room, trying to slow her pacing heartbeat. Her face was flushed as the feelings of her friend's touch on her body lingered longer than it should be. "What is wrong with me?" She asked herself quietly.

CHAPTER 3 - The Morning Call

"Geri! Up and shone kiddo!" Alex had been pounding the door for the pass 5 minutes with no answer from within the room. Usually the waking up stuff was done by Debbie but with her gone, the responsibility fell on Alex since it was impossible for Geri to wake up independently.

"Geri!" Alex pounds on the door for the last time. She began pacing in circle in front of the door. She could not let Geri sleep on and missed her lecture…or could she? Nah. It's immoral. But than, banging on the door was just not enough. The alternative would be going in to wake her up. After her confusing reaction towards Geri yesterday, she was not keen to do so. Yeah, not at all. What to do, what to do? She was getting dizzy from all the circular motions.

Finally, she made up her mind. She had a black belt in karate. An expert in judo. She was tough and dangerous. Waking a girl up was no big deal. She can do it. Taking a deep breath, she turned the doorknob carefully, pushing it just wide enough for her to poke her head in. It took her eyes awhile to adjust to the darkness of the room. Slowly, images became clearer. The curtain was drawn fully, not even a trace of sunray could pass through. Then her eyes fall on the object of her mission who was tuck peacefully under a large, thick, soft blanket.

"Geri?" She whispered. Still no response. Without any other choice, she stepped quietly into the room and tiptoed towards her friend careful not to make any sound. Unfortunately, focusing all the attention on the beautiful creature on the bed, she failed to notice the chair until too late. As she tripped against over the chair, she made a desperate grabbed of the study table in an attempted to balance herself. While she succeeded, she knocked a pile of books off the table and they dropped onto the floor with a loud thud.

Cursing under her breath, she dropped to her knees, trying to pick up the books. However, she miscalculated her distance from the table and hit her head hard on the corner instead. "Shit!" She cursed out loud this time. She throw the books aside and jumped up in frustration.

"What the hell am I doing! Why am I whispering and why am I tiptoeing! I'm supposed to wake her up! How am I going to do that if I whisper and tiptoe!" This was indeed an irritating situation.

All quietness and gentleness abandoned, she walked boldly towards the bed, pulls the blanket up and shakes Geri impatiently with her hands. "Wake up, wake up! Have you take poison before you sleep! Wake up!"

Slowly, eyes began to flutter a little, showing a little of green before finally gathering the strength to open up fully. Sleepy looking eyes stared back at angry one. Geri blinked. Shook ahead a little and blinked again. "Alex? What are you doing? Quit shaking me! It's giving me a nasty headache."

"I hope it does. Are you always so hard to wake? If I had to do this every morning, I think I'll go crazy." Alex grumbled unhappily as she dropped her hand from Geri shoulder and sat back on the edge of the bed.

"Well, I was cleaning up while some one was having her beauty sleep…ooh…" Geri yawned loudly, raised both her arms straight up and stretched her body fully, exposing her wonderful bodyline to a dumbfounded Alex. For the first time in the morning, Alex realized how transparent the silky night grown was. She felt her mouth went dry and her breath quickens as she stared helplessly at Geri breasts. She struggled to keep her vital signs under control and failed miserably as she became enchanted by the movement of Geri fingers tucking a lock of strawberry reddish hair behind the ear.

'Focus, focus. Control, control." Her brain chanted desperately. Must be her lack of relationship she decided. What more could it explain the lust she felt for her naïve roommate lately. Well, a night in 'Swade' can always solved her needs.

Running her fingers through her hair nervously, she decided that it was time to leave the room before she do something to embarrass both of them.

"I'm going to get some coffee, you want anything?" she asked as causally as possible as she examine a tall, elegant glass vase on the head of the bed, behind Geri.

"No, but thanks. I'll grab something later on." Geri bounced off the bed and began jogging on the spot. "See you later?"

"Yeah. Bye." Alex walked slowly to the door, trying not to look like she was escaping and at the same time, struggling not to take a pee at the feminine body jumping up and down behind her. But as she closed the door behind her, her traitorous eyes betrayed her and stole a last look at the body doing jumping jack.

CHAPTER 4 - The Unexpected Encounter

"Piss… over here!!" Mandy Casprell hissed fiercely, a hand waving frantically to an empty corner sit at the last second row of the lecture hall. Geri on all four crawl steadily towards her friend despite the burden of her haversack and eased quietly into the empty space. As the old saying goes, 'Practice made perfect' and Geri had been practicing the skills since the second day of school. The lecture was way into the main contents after twenty minutes. It would be hopeless to try to follow it. Geri wasn't too concern about it though. She could always copy Mandy's notes and, hers was one of the best.

She let her eyes roamed lazily across the lecture hall and let it rest on an attractive blond wearing a tight fashionable outfit showing off every of her sexy curves. But Geri mind was far from the wonderful figure of the woman. Instead, it went a few months back in time where she accidentally came upon a rather passionate Alex French kissing a woman outside of their apartment. If she had not been so shocked that she nearly fainted scaring the hell out of Alex, she was sure that the blond would have stay for the night.

As if sensing Geri stare, the blond turned her head unexpectedly. Caramel and emerald crashes in an instant. A flick of recognition flash through her eyes before Blondie turned swiftly away. Not fast enough to hide the hint of anger that followed.

"Hey! Stop gorging!" her friend nudged her with an elbow. Geri, still a bit unsettle with the brief but intense exchange managed to pull her eyes away to give her friend a weak smile.

'Now, what was that about?' She puzzled.

"That's all class. Have a nice weekend." Mr. Sherman concluded before dismissing the group. Several students including Mandy squeezed hurriedly through the crowd that was moving at the opposite way in the hope of getting to the lecturer before he left. After clearing up the doubts about the lecture, Mandy half ran and walk towards her waiting friend.

"Hey! Thanks for waiting…needed to clear up a few things." They began walking down the corridor to the next class on schedule.

"Here's my notes. If you don't understand anything…can't read my writing…don't come looking for me." She hands the notes to Geri who was smiling innocently at her. "I can't stand laziness. Especially the type that passed exams without leaving a finger."

Geri poked a finger at her playfully. "Nah…you're just jealous." Mandy scowl at her before letting a smile crept over her beautiful face.

"Late night yesterday huh?" Her tone and smug smile indicate a deeper meaning to the simple question. "I want specific details!" A huge smile sprat across her face and eyes twinkle with anticipation.

"What do you mean?" Knowing fully what her friend was implying. "I watched 'Home Improvement', than did some reading…clear up the cupboard…water the cactus…cook some supper…"

"Geri…that's not what…" The huge smile evaporating with amazing speed.

"And then I decided to try to do the puzzle again but too many pieces were missing…" Geri quickly continued, deliberately cutting off her friend protest.

Geri peek at her friend while she continues to sprout nonsense. Sure enough, she saw the corner of her mouth twisting rapidly, a sign that shows that her patience was being stretched too far. Knowing her limit, Geri reprimanded her playful side for repeatedly trying the patience of her friend who had none of it and pushed her impending giggle down knowing that it will be her one way ticket to hell.

"But what really took the night up was the farewell party we gave to Debbie before she moved…and the cleaning up after that…all by myself." That took her a good two hours before everything was back into places. She frowned a little when she remembers what Alex had done the previous night.

"Remind me never to ask you a question again…I could be drown by the overflowing words coming from you." Mandy snorted.

"Oh… I was only trying to be specific…" She said giggling before she jumped swiftly away, avoiding the flying file that was aiming at her. Her laugh was cut short when she felt her body bumped slightly against another. She turned to apologize but stopped short when she realized that she had come face to face with Blondie again.

A sense of uneasiness washed over her when she realized that she was being inspected from head to toe, like a car inspected by its new owner. Apparently, the inspector was not happy with what she saw as a look of disgust filled her face.

"Look way you're going girl. Can't always rushed into things can you." Blondie spat out before walking gracefully away, her hand sweeping excessively at her sleeve that came into contact with Geri a minute ago.

Anger, an unfamiliar emotion, crashed upon her as strong as a tidal wave, pushing her pervious uneasiness away. Clutching the hands into tight fists, she braced herself and began chasing after the insulting woman.

"Girl indeed! I'll show her what a girl can do!" She snarled through her clutched teeth, eyes narrowing dangerously.

A pair of hands wrapped around her shoulders stopped her chase abruptly. "Wait…stop!" Mandy cried out.

Mandy had rarely seen her friend in anger as in truth Geri was a sweet nature girl. Even when she had found out that jerk Peter was two-timing her, she had only raised her voice and sulked and cried for three days straight. But Mandy knows without a doubt that her friend had great potential in the terror department, if the right button was clicked on, by the right person. She recognized the situation immediately although she had never seen Geri in one before. She knows that she had to stop her friend before things got out of hand.

"Let me go Mandy! I'm going to get her! How dare she!" She raged, trying to get free from the tight hold.

"Geri, calm down! You're making a scene and that will surely make her day!" Mandy hissed fiercely, hoping to appeal to Geri shyness…a reluctance of being in the limelight.

Upon hearing the words and the logic in them, Geri stopped her struggle and looked around. Her friend had exaggerated about the making of a scene part and that was only because she was stopped in time. Already, a few heads were turned, throwing interesting and curious looks in their way.

Taking a deep breath, she pushed her anger down. She had always pride herself for being able to control her anger. She knew from past experience that anger could provoke hurtful works and actions that one does not really meant.

"I'm okay Mandy. You can let me go now." Mandy released her hold slowly but had one of her hand placed lightly on a very tensed elbow, just in case.

Mandy took a look at the tensed form of her friend and made a decision. "Come on. Let's skip class today." Geri looked up in surprised at the unexpected suggestion. Mandy seldom missed any classes. She's very serious about her grade. Geri open her mouth to protest only to be stopped by a determine Mandy.

"Let's get some coffee. My treat." Mandy gave her a bright grin and gently tugged her towards the cafeteria.
