[Adolesence]
It was not so very long afterwards that Kaeerah returned--alone. She refused to say what had happened while she was gone; in fact, she largely refused to speak to anyone. She allowed the rumours that she killed Cyphiro to circulate, grinning darkly at them, and spent her days biding time, speaking with whomever she could find and trying to discover the best way to reach her goal. If she had learned one thing from her father, it was that she did not want to be weakened by anything--weakened by emotion, weakened by lack of power, lack of strength. She grew more and more like a meglomaniac--and eventually decided that her ultimate goal in life was domination and destruction. She wished for her life to be spoken with a trembling voice...and, with that as her new goal, she left her family's pack forever.
It was in her late teens that she discovered Zarakuntai, the Nantika alpha female's long-lost-brother. Tai was twisted and bitter, and seeemed to take a liking to her; while Kaeerah did not care for him any more than any other living creature, she saw in him a stepping stone to the eventual success she wished for. She took to travelling with him, taking in his advice and twisting it to her own needs. He taught her patience; she learned to wear her quarry down. He taught her thoughtfulness; she learned to plan her cruelties. And at last, when she had learned what she sufficiently wished, she broke away from him--leaving him crushed and confused, never knowing why his daughter-figure did what she did.

[Adulthood]
Kaeerah's father had lost his life protecting her from demons of a higher and darker nature than she; she made it her goal to become stronger than they. She searched them out and, before Tai's horrified eyes, sacrificed the last remnants of her soul to them. They, a nameless breed of fear vampires, reached shadowy talons into her heart and made her like them--a bitter reflection of life, able to feed upon fear, incapable of the emotion herself. She became the utter image of apathy, unable to love, to fear, to adore. She had only a lust for power, now, and the rich capacity for hatred.
And it was like this that the young adult discovered the Evil Shadowed Lupes, the dread enemy of her own grandfather's pack. Falling into quiet submission to the alphas, Kaeerah again bides her time...watching, waiting, learning who weilds the power and who could be corrupted. She prepares a list of enemy names who interest her--enemies who she would like to feed off of, whose fear she would like to form into her own strength. And she prepares each day for the hour in which she will rise to supreme power...

Her opportunity arose in the form of an ambitious red lupine named Slagar. He, the alpha of a small pack allied with the ESLP, saw in her an opportunity for greatness, and she saw an opportunity for power. It was a short romance, borne from their communal hunger for improvement, but perhaps deep inside they feel some breed of emotion for each other--as much as Kaeerah is capable, she does love her mate. She asked him to turn her vampiric, so that she might feed from blood as well as soul; she tasted him in return, sifted through his soul and memories, and has formulated a plan. She now knows who to consume for power, and how far she can go without being noticed...

...And all the while, memories of her mother's pack haunt her visions, and another plan, darker and more sinister, begins to brood in the darkest recesses of her mind.
