"I was taught very early that I would have to depend entirely upon myself; that my future lay in my own hands." Lean and lank, a dusty-furred creature with bony legs and too-dark eyes. He stretches himself in the shadows, watching you with those oddly flat navy orbs, his ears pinned back in distrust. It is nothing personal; he would not give you the opportunity to know you better. After a moment, you approach too close to him, and he stands, eying you cautiously, and slinks away a few steps to watch you from a safer darkness. Momentarily, deciding you are worth neither aggression nor interest, he slides away to protect more valuable treasures.

Name: Ardeth Magi |
[Childhood]
At first he learned to find the smell of meat, old meat, and learned how to scavenge it; he would find the freshest parts and give them to his twin, sustaining her before he could stand to get food for himself. After awhile he started to find ways to eat plants, learned which berries and mushrooms were good for food, and supplemented their diet of dead things with these. He eventually learned to hunt, on his own, and to protect her against all harms--which were numerous. He grew progressively more tattered and scrawny, bones projecting under his worn, dusty pelt, but Ellethia always managed to be almost chubby, sleek and happy.
Eventually, toward the edge of his childhood, Ardeth led his sister into the territory of a number of packs and unwittingly stumbled right in the midst of a battle. He managed to protect his sister from harm, though he sustained an injury to his foreleg, and his recovery necessitated their stay in the lands of the pack which helped him. And...they never quite managed to leave.
[Adolesence]
The young teen has sought refuge in Mt. Desri, and has come upon the unlikely friendship of Khalor, the alpha. Ardeth is now slowly putting on weight, slowly becoming healthier as he grows into his adulthood; he will always be thin, and ragged, but he is becoming vaguely handsome now as well. His street-fighting skills are being honed by Khalor's private lessons, and he may become a strong warrior yet...
