Description/bio
Edge was born in 1944, in a small-town military hospital. His mother died when he was very young, his father, a career man, died when Edge was only 10. He was then adopted by the head of clan Mushita to fulfill an obligation of honor to his father, and attended private school, being taught swordsmanship as well. He left 'home' at 18 to join the army, following in his father's footsteps. Two years into his tour, he was accepted into the green berets for recon and the training of nationals in Laos and Vietnam.
He had 8 tours in 'Nam, and was killed in 1972 in a firefight. His body, not quite dead, was taken by black ops researchers looking to augment soldiers' performances with chemicals and micro-cybernetics. He later reappears in 1992 as the only successful American 'juicer' experiment, then assigned to Team Omega.
Killed in an ambush a few years later, he was taken then by a group of very advanced race of intergalactic 'protectors' and assigned to stem the tide of a veritable plague of social and political chaos and corruption. After two years (to the team) he was reassigned by these beings to protect earth, as it has become practically a magnet for intra-dimensional turmoil.
In 2001, an event known only as a 'rift' occurs, destroying civilization as they knew it and sending the hapless team, accompanied by Edge, to a world, home to many races, that is in an advanced iron age, and in a feudalistic state.
