Our very own goddess of fire. She came to us badly burned from inappropriate heater usage. Sadly, snakes and lizards are often burned from heaters that are too high, inadequately monitored or badly designed.

She didn't enjoy the three times daily Betadine scrub baths or the twice-daily antibiotic injections but she has healed beautifully. Her belly is barely scarred.

Pele has a lovely temperament. She is often out and prowling in her habitat and when let out, loves to climb the bookcases and lurk. She seems to enjoy being handled and will settle down into a nice warm lap or shirt for a nap. She would eat every day if we let her. (We don't.)
