He doesn't seem to notice the lack. He is quite an active, curious baby. Baby dragons are adorable, and Beardies in general make very good starters for the new reptile keeper, but they do have fairly exacting husbandry needs as hatchlings and juveniles. Maynard will more than quadruple his size in the next six months and will require appropriate food, heat, space and lighting. Before you fall in love with a cute baby face, please take the time to learn about the animal and make certain you are willing and able to provide the necessary care for the rest of its life.
