MOMS Club of Hendersonville, NC - MOMS Offering Moms Support
Our Club
The Hendersonville, North Carolina MOMS Club chapter was founded in 2002, with members from all over Henderson County. The club is a support group for moms who are home during the day, whether or not they also work outside the home. Through community service projects we also endeavor to assist needy children and families in the Hendersonville area.
Meetings
We have a monthly meeting, sometimes with a speaker or discussion topic. We also plan fun get-togethers each month, such as park play days, lunches, trips to local attractions and other activities. We make these plans for the daytime, when at-home moms need the activity most. You may attend two meetings (such as a monthly meeting and a park day - activity groups are for members only!) before you decide to become a member.
Activity Groups

The MOMS Club sponsors activity groups for members with common interests. These currently include:
scrapbooking, book discussion, hiking, stroller club, babysitting co-op and more!

Moms Night Out
Everyone needs time alone with friends! We organize a monthly Moms Night Out so we can do just that at a local restaurant, theater, or other venue.
Playgroups
We also organize playgroups for the children (and their moms!) to participate in. These can be an excellent way for your child to make friends of the same age and for the mothers to share notes. Currently we have playgroups for infants through pre-kindergarten. As with the activity groups, more are added as there is interest in them. Club board members or the playgroups coordinator can provide more information on joining one or starting a new one.
Bring Your Kids

You do not have to bring your children with you, but children of all ages are always welcome at everything we do. (Please remember that you are responsible for your child's safety and behavior at all MOMS Club functions.) We sometimes have volunteer members watching the older children away from the mothers, working on arts & crafts projects or playing games.

We are all mothers and we appreciate that children get tired or bored! At our monthly meetings, we provide a separate room for when babies or children become fussy or agitated, and also to provide nursing mothers with quiet and privacy if needed.

The International MOMS Club
Our chapter is part of an international non-profit group with 1500 chapters in seven countries, totaling over 75,000 members. The result is a unique network of mothers who understand the choices involved in being an at-home mom.
Dues
Our dues are $24 per year and are used for our monthly newsletter, supplies, activity programs and community service projects. We do understand that being an at-home mother can mean a tight budget, so if the dues would be a hardship for your family, please discuss a waiver with one of our officers.
Welcome Newcomers
Come see us at our next meeting or park day. Our monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Our chapter is very open to new members. You probably will not be the only new person there! Although some of us have lived in the area for years and are experienced moms, many of our members are new in town or new to motherhood. We all have one thing in common - the MOMS Club introduced us to other moms who believe that being an at-home mom doesn't mean you have to stay at home alone!
Mission Statement
The MOMS Club of Hendersonville is a diverse group of mothers helping each other balance the demands of motherhood and supporting each other and the community.
