This is a project made by ME, it has nothing to do with history other than the fact that the names may be historical. It has just been made for fun and has nothing to do with "what-if" factors. It is plain and simple sci-fi or fantasy if you may.
Why doesn't X (country) exist?:
I included countries which I find interesting and with which I think that I can do something. Some countries that I know too little of are not even in and "have never existed". The countries that DO NOT EXIST ARE (neither do that specific ethnicity):
- Albania
- FYROM (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia)
- Andorra
- Monaco
- Croatia
- Romania
- The Holy See (Vatican)
- Hungary
- Finland is a grand duchy of Sweden with equal power as it had in the late 19th ceuntury Russia in real history.
- Norway and Iceland are grand duchies of Denmark
(-) Ukraine exists under the name of The Republic of Kiev.
Other nations are in alliances with each other or have been conquered by an enemy.
- Estonia (Conquered by Poland from Sweden)
- Several slavic nations make up The Yugoslav Commonwealth (not the same Yugoslavia as in real history).
- Great Britain, just as in real life.
- The Benelux Alliance consists of Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg.
You're being racist!
People tend to think that I'm trying to glorify "my" history. Firstly I don't thik that modern day citizens of any nation should take credit for what other generations did. Secondly I'm German and they aren't winning all wars are they? And yes I prefer some cultures over others, so? Everybody does. I personaly like modern western, Greco-Roman and Germanic culture.
