Sometimes in life,
you find a special friend;
Someone who changes your life
just by being part of it.
Someone who makes you laugh
until you can't stop;
Someone who makes you believe
that there really is good in the world.
Someone who convinces you
that there really is an unlocked door
just waiting for you to open it.
This is Forever Friendship.
When you're down,
and the world seems dark and empty,
Your forever friend lifts you up in spirit
and makes that dark and empty world
suddenly seem bright and full.
Your forever friend gets you through
the hard times, the sad times,
and the confused times.
If you turn and walk away,

God gave us the seasons--

A story is told about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam. He called his parents from San Francisco.
"Mom and Dad, I'm coming home, but I've a favor
to ask. I have a friend I'd like to bring home with
me." "Sure," they replied, "we'd love
to meet him."
"There's something you should know," the son
continued, "he was hurt pretty badly in the
fighting. He stepped on a land mind and lost an arm and a
leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want him to come
live with us." "I'm sorry to hear that, son.
Maybe we can help him find somewhere to live."
"No, Mom and Dad, I want him to live with us."
"Son," said the father, "you don't know what you're asking. Someone with such a handicap would be a terrible burden on us. We have our own lives to live, and we can't let something like this interfere with our lives. I think you should just come home and forget about this guy. He'll find a way to live on his own." At that point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him. A few days later, however, they received a call from the San Francisco police. Their son had died after falling from a building, they were told. The police believed it was suicide.
The grief-stricken parents flew to San Francisco and
were taken to the city morgue to identify the body of
their son. They recognized him, but to their horror they
also discovered something they didn't know, their son had
only one arm and one leg.
The parents in this story are like many of us. We find it
easy to love those who are good-looking or fun to have
around, but we don't like people who inconvenience us or
make us feel uncomfortable. We would rather stay away
from people who aren't as healthy, beautiful, or smart as
we are.
Tonight, before you tuck yourself in for the night, say a little prayer that will give you the strength you need to accept people as they are, and to help us all be more understanding of those who are different from us!!!
There's a miracle called Friendship that dwells in the heart. You don't know how it happens or when it gets started. But you know the special lift it always brings. And you realize that Friendship Is God's most precious gift! Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they always want to open their hearts to us. Show your friends how much you care....

Once upon a time the colors of
the world started to quarrel.
All claimed that they were the best.
The most important.
The most useful.
The favorite.
GREEN
said:
"Clearly I am the most important. I am the sign of
life and of hope. I was chosen for grass, trees and
leaves. Without me, all animals would die. Look over the
countryside and you will see that I am in the
majority."
BLUE
interrupted:
"You only think about the earth, but consider the
sky and the sea. It is the water that is the basis of
life and drawn up by the clouds from the deep sea. The
sky gives space and peace and serenity. Without my peace,
you would all be nothing."
YELLOW
chuckled:
"You are all so serious. I bring laughter, gaiety,
and warmth into the world. The sun is yellow, the moon is
yellow, the stars are yellow. Every time you look at a
sunflower, the whole world starts to smile. Without me
there would be no fun."
ORANGE
started next to blow her trumpet:
"I am the color of health and strength. I may be
scarce, but I am precious for I serve the needs of human
life. I carry the most important vitamins. Think of
carrots, pumpkins, oranges, mangoes, and papayas. I don't
hang around all the time, but when I fill the sky at
sunrise or sunset, my beauty is so striking that no one
gives another thought to any of you."
RED
could stand it no longer he shouted out:
"I am the ruler of all of you. I am blood - life's
blood! I am the color of danger and of bravery. I am
willing to fight for a cause. I bring fire into the
blood. Without me, the earth would be as empty as the
moon. I am the color of passion and of love, the red
rose, the poinsettia and the poppy."
PURPLE
rose up to his full height:
He was very tall and spoke with great pomp: "I am
the color of royalty and power. Kings, chiefs, and
bishops have always chosen me for I am the sign of
authority and wisdom. People do not question me! They
listen and obey."
Finally INDIGO
spoke, much more quietly than all the others, but with
just as much determination:
"Think of me. I am the color of silence. You hardly
notice me, but without me you all become superficial. I
represent thought and reflection, twilight and deep
water. You need me for balance and contrast, for prayer
and inner peace."
And so the colors went on boasting, each convinced of his or her own superiority. Their quarreling became louder and louder. Suddenly there was a startling flash of bright lightening thunder rolled and boomed. Rain started to pour down relentlessly. The colors crouched down in fear, drawing close to one another for comfort.
In the midst of the clamor, rain began to speak:
"You foolish colors, fighting amongst yourselves,
each trying to dominate the rest. Don't you know that you
were each made for a special purpose, unique and
different? Join hands with one another and come to
me."
Doing as they were told, the colors united and joined
hands. The rain continued:
"From now on, when it rains, each of you will
stretch across the sky in a great bow of color as a
reminder that you can all live in peace. The Rainbow is a
sign of hope for tomorrow."
And so, whenever a good rain washes the world, and a Rainbow appears in the sky, let us remember to APPRECIATE one another.

What Color is Light?
God has No COLOR
And God IS of ALL COLOR
There is something very SPECIAL in each and every one of us. We have all been gifted with the ability to make a DIFFERENCE. And if we can become AWARE of that GIFT, we gain through the STRENGTH of our VISION the POWER to SHAPE THE FUTURE.
God knew that everyone needs companionship and cheer,
He knew that people need someone whose thoughts are
always near.
He knew they needed someone kind to lend a helping hand,
someone to gladly take the time to care and
understand.
God knew that we all need someone to share each happy
day,
to be a source of courage when troubles come our way.
Someone to be true to us whether near or far apart,
someone whose love we'll always hold and treasure in our
hearts.
That's why God gave us friends.
