| Our club was formed from among members of our church and other churches in our commmunity. We were established in April 1998. We share not only common investment ideas, but our faith as well. This combination makes for a very friendly and fun atmosphere. We are members of the National Association of Investors Corporation (NAIC) and follow their principles as best we know how. Our club consists of 13 members ranging in age from 21 to 45. We meet once a month and invest $50.00 a month. We formed the club based on four principles: 1. | HOW DO WE STUDY STOCKS | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| We follow a stratigic plan. We obtain a copy of Value Line's top ranked industries from which we identify 5 to 10 possible companies within the same industry. We assign the companies to each of our club members, who then perform a Quick Analysis. The Quick Analysis is a one sheet 15 question yes or no questionair that helps us to proceed or weed out some of the companies. From there we do Stock Selection Guides (SSG's) on each of the companies remaining. We attempt to gather as much information from On-line sources, newspapers, magazines, chat rooms (warning), and annual reports. We then compare each company against each other using the Stock Selection Guide (SCG) and arrive at a conclusion whether to buy, hold or postpone until a future day. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| HOW WE PURCHASE STOCK | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| We use three ways to purchase stock. The first way is to purchase on-line through our Broker TD Waterhouse. The second way is by purchasing through a Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRiP). Finally, we also use BuyandHold.com. We have been purchasing most of our stocks through BuyandHold.com because of the low cost and flexibility.
