Spying Cookies

take a look at your cookie directory if you are using Explorer then
look at windows/cookies or if you use Navigator it's a little harder to
find.
if you see that it is full of text files then maybe you have a spying
cookie in you system, a cookie is a small information packet that the
website sends to your browser, and can be sent by request back to the
website, it was meant to enable the website to know your preferences
and know what to offer you in information and in advertisement.
but some website can use cookie to track you down they can find in
what sites you been what you bought or searched for, they can even make
a database of surfers and there personal interests.
one such company is DoubleClick - how offers major website this information
on the surfer, any time a surfer get to a website the cookie is sent to
DoubleClick that returns to the website your preferences.
this "service" is not approved by the surfer in any way, and is made
secretly.
I don't know abot you buy i don't like others to know what i do on the net
and so i used the option on the browser to not accept cookies.
in both Explorer and Navigator any time a cookie is sent it asks you if to
accept it (and it's realy annoying) so i have download a shareware named
Cooike Pal from http://www.kburra.com (it's a great program)
and the program rejects the cooikes automaticly.

p.s. don't be afraid to edit or delete the cookies it can't harm the browser
but mabye some sites will require them i leave it to your chooise.

i refer you to this websites for more information:
