"Champion Sion's Dignitary at Winwood"

Cody was my baby. There isn't enough paper in the world for me to write down how wonderful this boy was. Cody passed away on July 6/97, just 23 days before his eleventh birthday, after battling bone cancer for 10 months. He was given only 2 months to live but refused to just give up without a fight. His brave battle with cancer was admired by all who knew him and through the lists that we belong too. On the day of his passing, 85 e-mails and virtual bouquets were sent to morn his passing. Cody's brave battle and unyielding spirit gave hope to those who had lost all hope. He was my first Champion. A Sel.Am. Ch. Lonnie V. Glisando Grandson. He finished his championship in 4 shows with a Best of Opposite to the top ranking female in Canada at the time. We followed up with obedience and progressed to a CDX level. Later Cody and I started up a Pet Visitation at Tru Davidsons Acres Senior Citizens Home. Cody was the best of the best. A good will embassador for the Shepherd breed if ever there was one. His picture and a write up of his good work appeared in two Toronto newspapers. He loved the attention and helped many an Altzheimer patient through their problems. Cody even took a try at Schutzhound for awhile but decided he didn't care much for that whip wizzing over his head. So we passed on that.

"If you share each day with your dog to the fullest, then in their final hours, you need never regret things you didn't do together". Cody and I did it all.

"Look not where I was, for I am not there. My spirit is free it is everywhere". From the poem "The Eulogy", by Carol Kufner..

"Champion Winwood's Axel Foley" (OVC)

Axel is out of Sion's Dignitary at Winwood and Kristari's Abbey Road. His story is a sad one. Axel cruised to his Championship in 4 shows and a group 3rd. The tragedy is that some horrible person saw fit to poison this beautiful boy when Axel was a mere 3yrs old. A beautiful show dog, wonderful companion and beloved family member. The culprit was never found but hopefully one day he/she will be called to atone for their actions.

Gone But Not Forgotten!!

"Winwood's Grand Slam"

Calvin shown here at 5 months was born July 19, 1997. His Sire..Winwood's Forever Knight..His Dam..Winwood's Dreamscape. He is a wonderful puppy with good structure and temperament. He ranked in the top 3 in his puppy obedience classes and won his first Sanction Match confirmation ribbon from the 6 - 9 month class On January 25/97. Handled by a totally inexperienced owner. His owners plan to pursue a Championship and then Obedience between camping trips of course.

Lucky boy!!

"Winwood's Dirty Harry" OVC (Retired at 8 points)

Harry is Harry. A large masculine male who just plain and simple, hates to stand still. 7 points towards his championship and 3 reserves. Run all day, but stand still, nope. He has attitude to burn. Truly his own man, so to speak. Strong willed yet lovable. A commanding presence. To see him is to love him. His claims to fame are 2nd Maturity male for all of Ontario and Winner of the Canadian Bred Class at the Canadian National. Harry is now retired at age 9yrs and living the life of sun and fun. Still doesn't like to stand in one spot for too long. He has often been refered to as a big lovable bear. Beautiful bone and rear angulation. Solid back and red male head. His sire..Sion's Dignitary at Winwood (Lonnie) ..His dam..Kristari's Abbey Road. (Rio Valles Challenger).

Truly a Free Spirit!!
