Obediah worked as a secretary. Nothing is known about Kermit. There were no children of the marriage.

Obediah lived next door to her sister, Margaret, in Galax until fairly recently when health problems forced her into the Waddell Nuring Home where she died. The webmaster visited Obediah and Margaret in Galax in 2001. She allowed us to copy the photograph of Oscar and Bessie courting in a one horse carriage.
