Born 18-Jan-1937 and Died 4-Oct-1976

Jimmy had started his own painting business but still and did odd jobs. He was hired to remove the limbs of a tree touching some electrical lines. The equipment he used included an electric chain saw and an aluminium ladder. Jimmy was elecuted when a limb fell against a high voltage line. He is buried in Red Oak Cemetery, Ceres, Bland County, VA. His grave marker lists his name as Jimmie G. which daughter Rhonda said was his birth name rather than James.

Jimmy was survived by his wife and three minor daughters. Anna sued Virginia Power & Electric Co. and received a judgment which was upheld on appeal. Case 303 SE2d 868

Jimmy and Anna's children are:
1. Rhonda Joyce (b1966), Anna's child adopted in 1969 by Jimmie, who married thrice: (1) Barry Withheld and sons Jeremy Lee (1981) and Jamey Curtis (1982), (2) Randall Martin Withheld and daugher Courtney Noel (1985), (3) Thomas "Ray" Withheld. Ray is a registered nurse (RN) and has a daugher, Brittany Anna-Marie. Rhonda is a LPN. Both Ray and Rhonda served in Gulf War as members of the Army.
2. Alberta Lynn (1970) who married: (1) Cecil Withheld [no children], (2) John Withheld and has two boys, Alex (1992) and Skylar (1998).
3. Lisa Ann (1972)who married and divorced Michael Darrell Withheld. Lisa has two sons, Michael Christopher (1991) and Skylar Nicholas (1998).

Anna later remarried. She has been happily married to Delmone Jessee for twenty years. Jessee has two daughers of a prior marriage.
