Ira is called Randy. Little is known about Randy and Wilma at this time. Randy has a business called W&W Nappa Auto Stores, Inc., in Bland.

The 2nd Infantry Division was based in Fort Lewis, WA. It was packed for movement to Germany. Randy went on pre-movement leave. When he reached Wilma's home, they told him that it had been announced on the radio that the North Korean Communist Army had attacked South Korea. All leaves were cancelled and all service personnel were to immediately return to their units. The 2nd Infantry went to Korea rather than Germany.

Randy landed with the 2nd Infantry in Pusan, Korea. He was with them as they and other elements of the Eighth Army fought their way north to the Manchuria border. When the Chinese entered the fray, UN forces were forced south with the 2nd Infantry protecting the rear of the retreat. Randy was wounded in action in SuWon about 25 miles south of Seoul. His wounds were from a burb gun. Randy's awards include the bronze star with "V" (valor) device.

Wilma's brother, Robert E. Withheld, married Ira's sister, Oda Mae.

Randy and Wilma's children are:
1. Linda Jean who married and divorced Jimmy Ray Shewey, she has a child not of the marriage, Rebecca Jean Winesett, and Sarah Beth, Sharon Rae and James Randolph,
2. Ira Randolph Jr.,
3. Rex Lee and
4. Rhonda Lynne.
Rhonda's husband is a CPA and they live in Charlotte, NC.
