Frank was born in Hermiston, OR. He played football
and was the drum major in the band. He served in the
Army Air Corps as an aircraft mechanic stationed in
England during World War II. After the war he played
football for Eastern Carolina College but did not
complete his degree. A web entry rates him very high as a running back.
He worked with his father and brother, Jimmy, in the bee (honey) business.
After his marriage Frank moved to Nokomis, FL, and
worked in real estate and also with the bees. He
later moved to nearby Venice where he served as a
city commissioner and as mayor. He greatly enjoyed playing poker with his buddies at the Moose Lodge.
