With the dawning of a new day the sun will rise and shine
the world will wake up right along, to sleep would be a crime.
But on this day a special thing shall happen in this world
For on this day ,so beautiful and bright, is the day of my birthday girl
She’s bright and shining, this little one, and I care for her so much
So I send her my love upon this day, and if she reaches out, my hand she’ll touch
