Uncle Ed's Poem: Sarah's Song she is young almost seventeen carries her innocence well polite and studious she greets me warmly on her visit already tall for her age her braces do nothing to mar her appearance instead they charm, in all respects blush on the rose but then she takes the flute from her case, opens up her stand, for her recital; strictly for me; and on the first note Sarah has become an angel, her simple notes clear and confident; I listen with awe, visualizing her on some stage or recital hall of the future; with a full orchestra behind her, and I think to myself, how lucky I am, to still be alive, to hear Sarah's song. You've reached Sarah Duncan's site, so welcome! In an internship with kids who I love and, believe it or not, seem to like me, a semester away from an MAT in secondary English, about to start training for NAA Nationals for the second year, and got the most amazing guy. Yeah, I guess I'm doing pretty good. Now all I need to do is find a job at some middle school somewhere in the great state of New Hampshire, and I'll be even better. Shoutouts: Here's to all the people I haven't seen, talked to, or heard from in far too long. |
