Edward A. Wilson
I am a comuter programmer in the making. My interest in computers came from video games. In 1987 I got my first video game, a 8-bit Nintendo. I received it as a Chiristmas gift. I had to play these game on a black and white television. With time I learned that if you want something you have to get it on your own. Later I learned more about bits and bytes. My favorite television programs were the ones centered around science like Ghostbusters, Beakman's World, and Computer Chronicles. Around 1994 I wanted a computer my parents could not afford it, so I had to learn from library books. All my computer experience came from school computers or going to electronics stores an using their computers. I eventually got my first computer in 1998 after my first semester in college. I owe alot to my wife Nikki and my cousin David who help realize my dreams.
My Education:
I was a student at the University of New Orleans, a school of appx. 17,000 students. I was in my junior year in persuit of a BS in computer science. I expect to return back to school soon. I am studing for my A+ certerfication to land a better job.
My Work experience
I worked many jobs from fast food to security. None of these industries are ideal for me. The most exciting job I ever had was at Macy's as a loss prevention officer. I liked this job because of the training and responsibility I had. I could not work full time and work such a job so I had to resign. My overall best job was at Digital Studios. I like this job because I had a chance to use my untapped photography and graphic design skills.
My Traveling experience
I love to travel. The best thing about traveling is seeing something new. Many good memories can come from hitting the road. I remember trips to Atlanta and NYC. These two places are beautiful in their own way.
