John Jope

John Jope, a resident of Wilmington, has enjoyed a lifelong involvement with photography.  As a teenager he worked in a local photo shop, developing and printing.  Later, he studied large camera technique and dye transfer process at the Franklin Institute, and advanced techniques through the Nikon and Leica Schools.  He became an accomplished photographer in the research and scientific field with such companies as Avco Corporation, Mass. Eye & Ear Infirmary, and Gillette.  He has earned recognition in industrial/commercial photography through The Industrial Photographers of New England, The Biological Photographic Association, and The Professional Photographers of America.
