We would like to use this website to show a presentation of ourselves to you, the future traveller to Chios, Greece.

Our house is situated in the Kampos area, the lush green area situated some 5 Kms from the capital city of Chora and equally some 5 Kms from the nearest beaches. The whole area is known for the beautiful houses, mostly build in the 17th to 19th century, with the beautiful yards and of course the "perivoli (garden)" filled with fruit trees, mostly mandarine. This is the one place where one finds the quiet surroundings necessary to relax and get away from the hectic everyday life. Our house is called Astrakia, meaning roofterrass under a starfilled sky and has recently been restored to be better adapted to the needs of the modern traveller. Now this is exactly what we want to offer you. Whoever stays in our house will be welcomed as a friend, be explained something about the area and the island and can always count on a good and friendly service and on an atmosphere creating the possiblity to be a part of modern day Greek life !

These are some pictures of our house. The restoration of the buildings was only finished in July 2000 and we adapted the rooms to the needs of comfort of the modern traveller. The rooms are situated in two buildings, most of them on groundlevel. On the next page we will give you an impression of what our rooms look like from the inside.
