Girl Group Chronicles: Home Base

This site was first launched in January 1999 as part of a high school music appreciation project and as an Internet site for fans of the Girl Group Chronicles radio program on CKLU 96.7 FM in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.

While updates have been infrequent since that time, over the next few years I hope to relaunch the site with a new, more accessible format, and more biographies, reviews, and news and information. This site welcomes any and all contributions, reviews, and site maintenance help. If you would like to submit a piece of writing or scan of group photos or memorabilia, you will be credited. If you have submitted something in the past and have not received credit during the remodeling, please contact me.

This site belongs to a girl group fan club email service on the Yahoo! network and everyone is welcome to join to discuss their favourite artists of the past, ask questions, or alert other fans to new releases or related news. Fans of girl groups and Phil Spector's Wall of Sound may also be interested in joining Spectropop, of which this site is also a member. In addition, I highly recommend Sheila Bergel's Cha Cha Charming fanzine which covers girl groups, J-pop (Japanese pop music) and heavy metal. A diverse combination of music that might not appeal to everyone, but girl pop fans will find it's a must-have.
