Welcome!

April, 2000

I have followed in the footsteps of my friend Kent Bromenschenkel (try and say that!) and will take a plane to Nepal. He has his own travel page, which you can find
here. He is a friend of mine from Minneapolis who tried to get me to travel with him last year to South America, but I had too much work to do. I decided this year I would go no matter what. This should be quite an adventure, as I have never been to the Far East.

I am leaving from Denver on March 30, and should arrive in Kathmandu on April 1. One must travel to Tokyo and Bangkok to get to Nepal. The plan is to do some hiking, camping, and white water rafting. I would love to put pictures up here, but I don't know if they have scanners easily accessible over there, and I'm sure it will cost quite a bit to upload stuff. Kent said we will probably being hiking in Annapurna, which is the west side of Nepal. Mt Everest is in the east, and takes a long time to get there. So, I guess I'll just have to come back to see the east side of Nepal. You can see a map of
Nepal here.
