Welcome to Wild West Shorthairs!  Allow me to introduce 2 of my hunting buddies and favorite pets, Shelby and Jake.  Shelby spent the first 3 years of her life hunting wild pheasants in western Kansas.  We moved to California and started working towards her Master Hunting Title.  I then bought Jake from a very nice bloodline that produced 2 Dual Champions in 2002!  Both dogs have loads of style on point and have fantastic noses.  They love finding birds and have been easy to train as I have trained them both myself. I want to say thanks to Bob and Arlene Walker for Jake and all of the help in training towards a Master Hunter title.  I also want to thank Leslie and Genaro Vargas for many hours of training and advice along the way.  I would never have been able to finish Shelby and train Jake without their help.

PUPPIES!! Shelby has been bred to "Hunter" (DC Wendig Haus'  Forgon Conclushon CD MH).  Both dogs have tremendous drive and bird finding ability.  Hunter has the following titles: Dual Champion, Master Hunter, and Companion Dog.  We still have possibly the overall nicest puppy available.  Duke is his name and I will be picky about where I place him!  He is a beautiful pup with sound temperament and an excellent nose.  Do you have the right home?
