Dreams of Enchantment

Imagined a glad far away,
where magic still holds a sway.
The grass is green, the sky is clear,
and everywhere are bounding deer.
I am there and so are you,
I cast a spell to make us fly in the blue,
The air is still and the sun is warm,
we soar like birds in perfect form.
Later we come to the ground,
where a grand ole meal is to be found.
The dishes are rich with juicy meat,
the pastries are light, and the wine is sweet.
After eating we rest all day,
arousing at times to frisk and play.
As the evening comes, we begin to grieve,
for we know it is time to leave.
Before we go, we stop and pray,
that we may be together another day.
