In season 4, we saw many things happen in the Halliwell family..the death of Prue brought on new sister, and a new destiny with Paige. We saw the sisters bond, and the troubles they faced. We were now completely introduced to the Source of All Evil, and it was clear what his mission was..to kill the Charmed Ones. Piper is still happily married to Leo, Phoebe and Cole were together, and Paige had an off and on again "romance" with Glen. Mid-season, in the episode "Black as Cole" the sisters vanquished Cole's demon half, Belthazor. We saw Cole adjust to human life, and him and Phoebe take the next step in their relationship, marriage. In the episode "Charmed and Dangerous" the Source released the Hollow, which consumes all magic. To save the sisters from death, Cole absorbed the Hollow himself, along with the Source's powers. Without the sisters knowing it, Cole became the leader of the Underworld. As time went on, and episodes passed we saw how evil Cole really had become..even to the extent of impregnating Phoebe with his evil spawn. With the evil growing inside her, Phoebe became the Queen of the Underworld. In "Long Live The Queen" the sisters vanquished Cole, and the Source, or so we thought. Soon after, we came to relaize the baby was never Phoebe's or Cole's, it was the Source all along, pure evil. The Seer stole Phoebe's baby, and magically implanted the baby into her own womb. She was about to gain rights to the throne of the Underworld, but before anything the Source's power was too great for her..it overpowered her and vanquished herself, the Council, and various upper level demons, incuding the demon spawn (the Source). Just when we thought it was over, it turned out Cole was residing in the Demonic Wasteland, trapped as a human in an astral plane. While there, he picked up a few powers from vanquished demons, and insured Phoebe that he will never give up on them. The season ended off on a happy note, with the discovery that Piper was pregnant.
My thoughts on what will happen is Season 5...
The "Big Bad" of next season: Personally, I believe there are many ways the writers can go with this..which is why I really liked the season finale. It left many things open, and exciting possible storylines. Here are a few ideas..
Various Demon attacks: In both season 1, and most of season 2 there was no real "big bad" just various demon attacks and the sisters saving innocents. With the Source gone, this is most likely to happen. I think, in the beginning of the season and all the way to the middle, we will see the sisters focused on saving innocents, and kicking demons ass. Then as the season comes closer to the end, we will see a new evil arise..something new and powerful.
A Mortal: In season 2, we saw that in the future, a man named Pratt was in charge of the modern day witch burnings. Including, the burning of Phoebe at the stake. What if, we were intorduced to Pratt again, and he accidentally sees a witch using magic. But, this time he is working with an upper level demon, and is protected by one. They could go many ways with that one.
Something New: A new demon in town, who is very powerful and works him/herself up in the demon world until becoming the new leader of the Underworld. (but then again, been there, done that.)

Those are just a few possibilities. Now I will go over Piper, the baby, and some new powers....
The Baby: Will it be a boy or girl? What powers will it have? Will Piper have complications? Will Piper and Leo split like they saw in the future..all possiblities. I don't think the baby will have telekenisis, as we already have a half witch/whitelighter with that power...so my guess it will probably be freezing time or even premonitions.
New Powers: Rumors around the net are saying that Piper and Phoebe will get new powers. I think Pipers "new powers" will just be the power shared with her baby for those nine months, and Phoebe will get electrokenesis. (We saw Phoebe with this power in the future)
