The Whyalla Community Power Group, is a dedicated group who are putting all the information regarding the Electricity Market in South Australia in one site so as the people can decide if privatisation has benefited them and with the  aim of seeing a reduction in the cost  of Electricity and Gas paid by South Australian Consumers.

Since the privatisation of the electricity network by the Olsen
Government, we have seen increases in the electricity tariff paid by
residential customers of approximately 42%, an extra meter reading fee
(fixed charge) if you have off peak off water and a 8% summer peak
tariff on top of the normal tariff.

We have ETSA Attempting to charge extra for the upgrade of a privately
owned transmission network and now they want the consumer to pay
extra so as they can continue sponsorship.
