Native Hawaiian Animals
Aloha we are students from Mr. Miyashiro's class and we will be sharing information about native animals in Honouliuli Preserve . Hawaii's native animals are being extinct due to the alien animals and alien plants, also by the people of Hawaii. The Honouliuli preserve is a place that the Project Stewardship cleans up and try to restore the Hawaiian rain forest with native plants. While being at the preserve, we got to encounter a few native animals and birds. One of the native birds I've seen was the Short-eared Owl, known locally as the Pueo. We also saw a Apapane, Oahu Elepaio, and the Oahu Amakihi.
