On Sunday 28th May 2000 the White Tide players and officials took to the street of Scarborough for a mammoth training session to celebrate the teams five years of existance.
In attendance were:
Below is a clockwatch listing the day's main events.
2.00pm - Stressa (The Highlander Bar): The day begins with two or three pints to ease the tention of a potentially nerve racking day.
3.00pm - Shades: The lads begin to feel the merryment of such an historic occasion.
3.33pm - The Cask: The lads are now fully relaxed, especially Nick Thompson (pictured), for the tough task ahead of them.
4.02pm - Louie's Wine Bar: The boys are still going at an incredible pace. Surely they will slow up soon.
4.29pm - Snowey's: Craig Thompson and Lee Scott lead the charge up to Snowey's (pictured above).
4.43pm - Lord Roseberry's: The boys meet up with the Crown Tavern FC.
5.20pm - Pepper's: Still going strong.
Pictured below, the lads take the long walk to the Aberdeen.
6.00pm - Aberdeen: This really is Bank Holiday madness.
5.29pm - Scarborough Arms: As Lee Scott retires from the session, Martin Crowdy and Andy 'Foamer' Good enter the mayhem.
7.10pm - Leeds Arms: Now the legs start to tire, but messers Crowdy and Good help the lads along the way.
7.45pm - Newcastle Packet: The lads are now feeling the pace, but still manage to put a brave face on it.
8.00pm - Golden Ball: Its training sessions like these that make the Tide one of the fittest teams around. They really have covered some distance today.
8.29pm - Turks Head: This is now a true test of stamina.
8.55pm - The Black Lion: As Nick Thompson's bird turns up, Josh Tetley convinces the player that he should ask her to marry him. JD's all round I think.
9.50pm - The Alma: The lads are just about on their knees as this historic day comes to a climax. One more pint and then over the road to the burger shop.
